In the middle of the 20th century (approximately in 50 years) in Great Britain, there was one of the styles most inconsistent and subject to criticism, but nevertheless – the style of interior design not deprived of own charm – a brutalism.
It is easy to realize from the name – that the main line of style the brutalism is rough lines and rough forms in an interior. It is possible as to allocate the corresponding details of style a miniatyurizm and art деко.
More a basic element for creation of this style is the firm and raw concrete, but for this purpose what to make more comfortable design – do effect of damp concrete, having made it smooth and covering with several varnish coats.
If use plaster or painting, with only fragmentary image – very much underlining the rough invoice of the used materials.
In this style try to open all connections and to bare architecture, having processed it to applicable option.
Despite of that this style quite cool, firm and sharp, in it you feel quite freely and easy, thanks to it the interior in aggressive style becomes very popular and quite famous.
The color palette in this style is not diverse, for an interior use all colors of grayish, snow-white and black color, and others can be met very much occasionally – them use only for contrast in furniture.
Furniture use usual geometrical forms without furnish, materials approach the most various: a tree, threw, plastic, skin and a fabric.
In everything it is necessary to allocate massiveness, roughness and simplicity, and for this purpose what a little to dilute the stone atmosphere – it is possible to use green plants (but in small quantities).
In the 80th years style the brutalism gained extensive distribution in Russian union, thanks to own simplicity and low cost of materials, but under the pressure of criticism this style began to associate with bad properties of construction decisions and it started to forget.
To themselves that interior will be chosen by young and vigorous people with wide looks which got used not to constrain itself in conversation and not to pay the attention to trifles.
